Teaching the world to fly since 1974
Kitty Hawk Kites is a small business based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. John Harris started this business in 1974 as a hang gliding school at Jockey’s Ridge State Park. As time went on, he added a small retail store selling t-shirts, kites, and souvenirs. And it grew from there!
John is still the president and is very active in the day-to-day happenings at each store. The difference at Kitty Hawk Kites is that we work as a team to ensure everyone is successful.
