Perhaps the ultimate activity for flight enthusiasts — especially recommended in the spring and fall — is to fly a museum-quality reproduction of Orville and Wilbur Wright's1902 glider. (Average flights are 5 to 15 feet off the ground for approximately 50 yards.) For a thrilling but more passive activity, go parasailing above Sound and Currituck Sound.”
