Each fall on north carolina's outer banks, the thin strip of barrier islands are flooded with dune buggies from all over the country during the annual Manx on the Banx event. Touted as the marquee East Coast dune buggy get together, Manx on the Banx began less than a decade ago and on average, attracts somewhere in the ballpark of 120 colorful dune buggies and numerous dune buggy enthusiasts to the area each autumn.
This year's event schedule is packed with some new and exciting activities coupled with popular ones from previous years. This year's event is slated to take place from October 12th through the 17th, with a group farewell breakfast the morning of October 18th.
Please join kitty hawk kites and Manx on the Banx for the Show-N-Shine Car Show from 8 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, October 17th. Dune buggies will be lined up on the front lawn of the kitty hawk kites store at Jockey's Ridge Crossing (3933 S. Croatan Hwy., Nags Head, NC) for their annual buggy beauty pageant.
