At Kitty Hawk Kites, we believe in creating uplifting experiences and that includes hosting free events that are open to the public! From live music and themed kite festivals to hands-on fun for the whole family, our events bring the community together and celebrate the best of the Outer Banks.

Sweet treats, yoga, toy demos, and waterfront sunsets perfect for a free and relaxing family evening. These take place weather permitting Monday-Friday from June 9th to August 8th at both our Nags Head and Kitty Hawk locations.
Moby Festival
Date: July 26
A whimsical celebration of sea creatures and summer vibes.
Watermelon Festival
Date: August 1
Juicy slices, family fun, and plenty of watermelon-themed games and giveaways.
Pirate Festival
Dates: August 14–15
Swashbuckling fun for little pirates and landlubbers alike.
