At last … kegs will fly at the inaugural OBX Brewtäg this Saturday, October 24 from 12 – 6 PM at The Soundside Event Site in Nags Head, north carolina! This one-of-a-kind celebration of flight and beer will feature teams of competitors launching homemade flying contraptions off a 20-foot tall platform in an attempt to carry an empty 1/6 barrel keg the furthest.
Admission to this family-friendly festival is FREE to the general public and will also feature a craft beer garden, local food vendors, live musical performances, a Kids Zone and much more. All proceeds will benefit The Rogallo Foundation.

The Flight: Don't miss this “only on the Outer Banks” competition in which teams will compete for bragging rights as they write another chapter of OBX aviation history. Which flying contraption will fly the furthest? Be there to find out!
The Food and Drink: Enjoy 20 craft beers for sale from local and regional favorites including: Outer Banks Brewing Station, Weeping Radish Farm Brewery, Lost Colony Brewery, Bold Rock Hard Cider, Natty Greene's Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewery, Mother Earth Brewing, Blue Mountain Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Bell's Brewery.
In addition, Sanctuary Vineyards will be pouring some of their fine North Carolina wines. Mulligan's Raw Bar and Grille and OBX Sunset Slush will also be on hand to please the palate!
The Tunes: An amazing lineup of local live music will be filling the air, beginning with bluegrass favorites, Jug Tucker, (12:00 – 1:45 PM), followed by the raw, organic and fresh soul rock and funk sounds of Soul House Revival (3:30 – 5:00 PM).
The Kiddos: The Kids Zone will feature the Kitty Hawk kites 30-foot portable rock wall, Stanley the Mechanical surfing Shark, face painting, an arts and crafts station, kite races, and more!
