The Outer Banks is as beautiful as ever. Now that we’ve started our season, we’ve seen a flood of visitors to the island. With these larger crowds, many visitors are looking for safe, socially distant activities to do on the Outer Banks. So some of our crew members are practicing social distancing by experiencing some of Kitty Hawk Kites’ adventures. Follow along for inspiration and see all the fun things you can still do on the Outer Banks. Today Megan went out kayaking with her dog, Pilot!
We offer guided kayak tours in single and tandem kayaks for families looking to explore the great outdoors together. We also rent kayaks! Go out on your own in a single kayak or share your trip in a tandem kayak.
Both sit-in kayaks and sit-on-top kayaks are available! Sit-in kayaks are traditionally used in the sound of the Outer Banks whereas sit-on-top kayaks are more versatile and can be used in both the sound and ocean. It is recommended that only professionals take sit-in kayaks into the Ocean. They are great for exploring–they come with a comfortable padded seat and back support.
Share the fun!
